I am originally from cape town, South Africa. I work as a web developer, and I’m glad to say I quite like my job. But on my days off, I like to pack my bags and head on an adventure to discover new places and meet new people. I have travelled for nearly five years now, and have a lot of stories that I want to share. About my blog

I have had my fair share of adventures, and each place that I have visited has taught me something new. But, one of my fondest memories is of the time I travelled to Socotra. Socotra is a tiny island located in the Arabian sea and is officially a part of Yemen.

With its gorgeous beaches and vast deserts, it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. The people here welcomed me into their homes and treated me as one of their own. The memories that I made here will stay with me forever. So, when I decided to start the blog, Socotra was the first thing that came to mind. And that is why I decided to name the blog TovisitSocotra.

What’s next?

I usually like to travel solo. You will most likely find me wandering the streets or navigating through the back-alleys with my camera. The blog will provide you an inside look at different destinations and exciting places most traveling guides won’t tell you about. I’m interested in a wide variety of cultures and countries, so the blog will not be focusing on one particular destination or topic.
